Design

Design philosophy
Designed from the ground up. We are perfectionists. After extensive testing and iterating to produce the perfect balance between strength and comfort, luxury and affordability, ruggedness and refined detail, we believe the K150 will mark the start of a new era in motorcycle design.

Exoskeleton frame
The exoskeleton frame is a unique cornerstone of the K150, designed to provide stability and maximise performance. Structurally protects the components inside and its open design allows for easy maintenance.

Dual seating
As a courier the seat and frame allows multiple points for carrying cargo. If you’re carrying a pillion passenger, the dual seat offers comfort and stability for you and your passengers.
Features

Balance
The K150 handles beautifully on and off-road. Whatever the terrain, it remains perfectly balanced and provides excellent feedback and ease of control.

Dual headlights
The vertically-stacked twin headlights provide a distinct look with powerful illumination when riding at night and offer safe visibility during the day.

Dual sport tyres
Featuring a unique tread pattern and special rubber compound, the tyres provide a smooth ride and handling in the city along with great traction and durability for the off-road.

Instrument panel
The analogue speedometer coupled with digital display gives riders a complete overview at a glance, allowing them to focus on the road ahead.

Suspension
A progressive suspension provides a comfortable journey whether riding solo on the tarmac, or carrying a heavy load down clay roads in the rainy season.
Performance

Engine
In the harsh African landscape, reliability is key. The 150cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine is a reliable mix of power and efficiency. Maximum torque is released at low revs giving the bike great power on the off-roads, whilst a balance shaft reduces engine vibration, resulting in a smoother and quieter ride.

Ground clearance
Its larger 21-inch front wheel allows the bike to roll over obstacles. High ground clearance and reinforced oil sump-guard also protects the underside from rocks and rough roads.

Brakes
Safety is at the forefront of the K150’s design. A 266mm front disc and 220mm rear disc hydraulic brake system was specifically developed to ensure its high-load capability is backed by capable braking power.
Safety & Training

Training
Rider training is an important part of our belief in improving road safety across the region. We offer training to help you be safe and get the most out of your machine, whether you’re a professional or riding for leisure.

Accessories
Kibo helmets are developed with quality and safety in mind, while still being highly-functional and beautifully styled.
